Agadir Excursions
Agadir :
City Sightseeing
A promenade of a 2-3 hours to discover Agadir and its port,
the old Kasbah over-looking the Bay and also the municipal museum. You’ll also
see the souk of agadir where Berber
people meet.
Agadir is a holiday resort with a fine
sandy beach and sunshine almost all year round. The sightseeing tour begins with a visit of the Kasbah which
was built in the 16th century. From the hill you can enjoy an impressive and
spectacular view of the harbour, the fishing fleet and the boat building
industry. Later on we also make a stop
at the harbour. We continue our visit of Agadir by driving through various
residential areas (photo stop at mosque Mohamed V ) as well as the city centre
with its modern buildings, cafés and
large avenues. At the end you
will discover the souk (market) where many kinds of products are being sold
including Moroccan handicraft.
Taroudant :
Taroudant -
one of the most ancient towns in Morocco and also known as ‘Little Marrakesh’.
It is surrounded by crenulated ramparts, olive groves and citrus orchards.
Taroudant , a walled Berber market town,
lies just South of the High Atlas mountains and to the North of the Anti Atlas
Mountains in the heart of the beautiful Souss Valley. It is not visited as much
as its larger counterparts, and is a great place to experience the real
Morocco, with charming souks and wonderfully varied local geography.
Taroudant is a market town rather than a
city; it has a predominantly Berber population who are well known for their
friendliness. Its town walls are more
complete than any other town in Morocco, and glow majestically in shades of
gold, pink and orange depending on the time of day. Taroudant is half citadel and half oasis, and
its souks are reputed to be the best in the south, offering much better value
for money than the souks of for example Marrakech. Being off the main tourist trail, Taroudant
offers visitors an authentic glimpse of everyday life in a relaxed atmosphere –
a thoroughly more chilled out experience than Marrakech.
Essaouira :
Essaouira is one of oldest cities in Morocco, built by Portuguese on the Atlantic Ocean, and was known as Mogador. The beauty of Essaouira consists of its important fishing port, its medieval medina, its souks of handicrafts such as woodwork.
Tafraout
One day to experience the Anti-Atlas mountains. You’ll visit Tafraout, a series of Berber villages in adobe clung to huge granite rocks, and also Tiznit, a small imperial city known for its silverware markets.
Marrakech :
One Day in Marrakech, visiting the Saadien Tombs, Bahia Palace, Menara Gardens and Jamaa el Fna Square with its animated souks. A lunch in the medina will complete the excursion.
Massa 4x4 :
Day of discovery using 4x4. First stop and enjoy the panorama of Youssef Ben Tachfine dam, then a track crossing small dunes will lead us to the beautiful valley of Massa and its reserve where you can see the Bald Ibis and other rare birds. Your return to Agadir will be along the Atlantic ocean.
Imouzzer -Paradise valley :
The Beautiful gorges
in the Oued of Assif Tamraghte, the Berber villages and the cascades allow you
enjoy unforgettable moments at the foot of the Atlas Mountains.
